The Münsterland region is Germany’s horse country and offers the Münsterland riding trail consisting of 1,000 km of signposted bridleways. On this trail you can explore the region’s soft landscape by saddle. The 100 Castles Route – the pinnacle of German cycling tracks – combines culture with an active holiday. Without a doubt, one of the high points is the Baroque moated castle Nordkirchen – also known as the Westphalian Versailles – with its magnificent avenues and the picturesque Venus Island. Marine Ehrenmal in Laboe: Ein Mahnmal für den Frieden
Das Marine Ehrenmal in Laboe ist eine Gedenkstätte für die auf See Gebliebenen aller Nationen und hat damit internationalen Charakter. Weithin sichtbar ist sie durch den 85 Meter über der Ostsee aufragenden Turm. Zum Marine Ehrenmal in Laboe gehört auch ein echtes U-Boot, das außen und innen besichtigt werden kann.
Sehenswert und beeindruckend: Schloss Bruchsal im Kraichgau
Sehenswert und beeindruckend – das ist das Barockschloss Bruchsal im Kraichgau. Ab 1722 ließen es die Fürstbischöfe von Speyer als Domizil erbauen. Heute ist das Schloss die älteste erhaltene fürstbischöfliche Residenz am Oberrhein und vor allem für das imposante Treppenhaus berühmt, das Baumeister Balthasar Neumann ab 1728 errichtete.
