„Für seine leidenschaftliche Kochkunst und die unglaublichen Geschmackserlebnisse erhält Thomas Heimberger dieses Jahr den begehrten Preis“, sagte Hans-Joachim Stöver, 1. Vorsitzender der Flair Hotelkooperation, bei der diesjährigen Jahrestagung. Markenzeichen von Heimbergers Küche ist auch, dass er sehr viele Sachen selbst herstellt. „Hier werden die Maultaschen noch mit der Hand gerollt“, nennt Thomas Heimberger ein Beispiel. Serviert werden die Spezialitäten im hellen, freundlichen Restaurant, das sein Übriges tut, um gemütlich zu genießen und zu entspannen. Für Veranstaltungen stehen auch ein großer Saal, ein kleinerer Veranstaltungsraum sowie das urige „Weinschächtele“ zur Verfügung.

Ob ökologisch geführtes Stadthotel, Biohotel auf dem Land, Wellness- oder Wanderhotel – zahlreiche Hotels und Landhäuser in Hessen verfügen über Gütesiegel und Zertifikate im Bereich Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltbewusstsein. Darunter befinden sich insgesamt fünf Hotels mit einer DEHOGA-Auszeichnung, die nach den Kriterien des „DEHOGA Umweltchecks“ bewertet wurden.
